Abstract

A method of configuring a communication device in a serving cell of a wireless communication network comprising a non-terrestrial network portion, the method comprising: establishing, in the serving cell, a connection between the communication device and the wireless communication network for transmitting and receiving data to and from the communication device; identifying a candidate cell for handover of the communication device, determining that one or both of the serving cell and the candidate cell is provided by a non-terrestrial network portion of the wireless communication network, based on determining that one or both of the serving cell and the candidate cell is provided by the non-terrestrial network portion of the wireless communication network, and determining, as a measurement window, a time period during which the communication device can receive the measurement signal transmitted in the candidate cell, and configuring the communication device to measure the measurement signal received within the measurement window.
