Abstract

A method of physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource unit (PRU) selection for a user equipment (UE) in a random access procedure is disclosed. The method comprises: receiving, from a base station (BS), a preamble configured to configure for the random access procedure and a plurality of PRUs corresponding to the preamble for payload transmission of the random access procedure; determining a number of PRUs for the payload transmission according to one of the indication received from the BS and a predefined number in the UE; and selecting at least one PRU from the plurality of PRUs using at least one of a random selection, a criterion-based selection, and a self-information-based selection according to the determined number.
