A program creation assistance method assists creation of a program for performing a job by a robot, the program creation assistance method including: detecting an operation of an input device by a user; determining a category by an operation of selecting a category of the job; displaying, on a display device, a dedicated operation flow indicating a sequence of operations of the robot corresponding to the type, the dedicated operation flow including a dedicated object indicating the operations and in which a change in the sequence is prohibited; and converting the dedicated object into a general-purpose object which represents an action and in which the change of the sequence is allowed by an operation for converting the dedicated object.
