Based on different performance characteristic of each magnetic head, each storage area is partitioned independently, or it is not based on performance characteristic of one anticipative magnetic head to partitions storage areas for all magnetic disks, thus it may not be at same straight line between borderline of storage area at one magnetic disk and borderline of storage area at another magnetic disk. This partitioning method improves available length of travel in magnetic disk used so as to raise storage density of magnetic disk.
