The preparing process comprises subjecting the mixed raw material for synthesis reaction in nitrogen atmosphere at 1450-1650 deg. C, thermal insulating 1-4 hours and cooling down, finally a composite material of beta-Sialon with a purity of 60-90% and alpha-Sialon of 10-40% can be obtained, the carbon residue in the coal gangue can be fully utilized.
