Problems solved by technology

[0010] From this it follows that if the heat exchange takes place between at least one of the liquid streams at high pressure, heat exchangers thus made cannot be used, or in any case have little industrial value

Embodiment Construction

[0028] Referring to the above-mentioned figures, a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between a first fluid (eg oil) and a second fluid (eg air) according to the present invention is indicated generally at 1 .

[0029] The heat exchanger 1 mainly comprises a plurality of shells 2 substantially flat in shape, connected together in a predetermined distance relationship in stacks 2a, with corresponding cavities 3 provided between the shells.

[0030] A housing 2 of predetermined width L is sandwiched in known manner between a first panel 4 and a second panel 5 provided with joints 5a, for example for the passage of the above-mentioned first fluid.

[0031] In an embodiment, the heat exchanger has 1" (1 inch) joints 5a.

[0032] Each shell 2 is formed by two half-shells 6 welded along a peripheral strip 6a, each half-shell 6 being provided with a corresponding orifice 7 at a corresponding position.

[0033] It should be noted that the aforementioned peripheral strip 6a has an out...

Abstract

A heat exchanger for the heat exchange between a first fluid and a second fluid, which achieves an unusual strength comprises a plurality of casings (2), of substantially flattened shape and of predetermined width (L), arranged in a pile (2a), with an air space (3) defined between adjacent casings in the pile, and each formed from two half-shells (6) welded along a peripheral strip (6a), said casings (2) being in fluid communication with each other through respective holes (7) opening into said air space (3), and at least one spacer (8), substantially of the sleeve type, in said air space (3), made integral at the top end with said adjacent casings around the respective holes (7) opening into said air space (3).

Description

technical field [0001] In its most general aspect, the invention relates to heat exchangers for exchanging heat between first and second fluids. [0002] The invention relates in particular, but not exclusively, to a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between pressurized fluids comprising a plurality of shells having a substantially flat shape and a predetermined width, Arranged in a stack with an air gap between adjacent shells of the stack, each shell being formed by two half-shells welded along a peripheral strip, the shells being connected to said air gap The corresponding orifices communicate with each other. Background technique [0003] Such heat exchangers for exchanging heat between two fluids comprising a plurality of shells or flat tubes are known. [0004] Each shell is formed from two half shells with corresponding openings at corresponding locations where adjacent shells are connected by collectors. [0005] In this configuration, each pair of adjacent housi...
