45 results about "Laminoplasty" patented technology

Laminoplasty is an orthopaedic/neurosurgical surgical procedure for treating spinal stenosis by relieving pressure on the spinal cord. The main purpose of this procedure is to provide relief to patients who may suffer from symptoms of numbness, pain, or weakness in arm movement. The procedure involves cutting the lamina on both sides of the affected vertebrae (cutting through on one side and merely cutting a groove on the other) and then "swinging" the freed flap of bone open thus relieving the pressure on the spinal cord. The spinous process may be removed to allow the lamina bone flap to be swung open. The bone flap is then propped open using small wedges or pieces of bone such that the enlarged spinal canal will remain in place.

Universal omni-posterior-double lateral mass bridging board for cervical vertebra

The invention discloses a universal omni-posterior-double lateral mass bridging board for cervical vertebra. The bridging board is in an arched whole made of a narrow and long metal plate, and comprises two lateral mass fixing plates, two vertebral lamina fixing plates, a spinous platform fixing plate and a bone grafting fixing plate. The bridging board is mainly used for reconstructing a vertebral canal structure after posterior expansive laminoplasty of cervical spine, can simultaneously fulfill fixation of open door side and hinge side in the expansive laminoplasty, the length of each fixing plate and angles among the fixing plates are in accordance with the characteristics of human cervical vertebra dissection; the bridging board has strong biological attachment and can furthest resist posterior pressure, so that the expansive laminoplasty failure caused by crack reclosing at the vertebral open door side and hinge fracture is avoided; the whole structure adapts to the posterior anatomy structure of human cervical vertebra and the characteristics of biological mechanics; and the bridging board can be pre-bent properly in use. The universal omni-posterior-double lateral mass bridging board for cervical vertebra is expected to replace the conventional posterior cervical single open door fixing plate to become a clinical standard postoperative physiology and stability reconstructing method after the posterior cervical single open door expansive laminoplasty.

Spinal column vertebral plate open-door fixing system

The invention discloses a spinal column vertebral plate open-door fixing system. The spinal column vertebral plate open-door fixing system comprises a fixing plate body, a development needle, a short bone nail and a long bone nail, wherein the fixing plate body is a Z-shaped structure integrally and comprises an upper body fixing end and a lower body fixing end, the upper body fixing end is provided with an upper body fixing end vertical through hole, the lower body fixing end is provided with a lower body fixing end transverse through hole, a hollow sinking bone grafting groove is between the upper body fixing end and the lower body fixing end, the development needle is inserted into the hollow sinking bone grafting groove of the fixing plate body, and the short bone nail and the long bone nail are respectively provided with a short bone nail thread starting point self-tapping cutting edge and a long bone nail thread starting point self-tapping cutting edge. The system is convenient and simple for bone grafting, is simple to operate and is practical, reliable, safe and effective, spinal canal expansion can be instantly realized during operation to protect the back structure, and door re-closing after single open-door spinal canal expansion laminoplasty is prevented. A polyether ether ketone material is selected, so excellent biological compatibility, small side effect and good long-term effect are realized.

Vertebral plate measuring instrument used for determining grooving position in single-door laminoplasty

The invention relates to a vertebral plate measuring instrument used for determining a grooving position in the single-door laminoplasty. The instrument includes a hand shank, a positioning needle andpositioning arms; the hand shank is provided with a slide groove arranged in the axial direction, and a slider is installed in the slide groove and slidingly cooperated with the slide groove; the middle portions of the two positioning arms are hinged through a hinge pin, and the hinge pin is installed on the hand shank; the rear ends of the positioning arms are hinged to connection rods, one endof each connection rod is hinged to the corresponding positioning arm, the other end of each connection rod is hinged to the corresponding slider, the front ends of the positioning arms are provided with palm parts, and operation windows used for grooving are formed in the palm parts; the front end of the positioning needle is provided with a tapered tip and installed on the hand shank and can slide front and back relative to the hand shank. The vertebral plate measuring instrument can rapidly and accurately determine the grooving position, when near to the outside, the instrument avoids the injury of the vertebral artery, and when near to the inside, the instrument avoids the injury of the dural sac and even medulla spinalis. The instrument is rapid and convenient to operate, the groovingdistance can be ensured, and the optimal decompression effect is achieved; the difficulty of a surgery can be reduced, the surgical operation errors are reduced, the surgery quality is improved, andthe learning curves of young surgeons can be shortened.
