Embodiment Construction

[0037] As shown in Figures 6 and 7, the three-dimensional braided fabric 42 includes a first fabric 44 shown by connected black dots, a second fabric 46 shown by connected white dots, and connecting fibers 48 connecting the first fabric and the second fabric .

[0038] Any of well-known structures described in Unexamined Japanese Patent Publication No. 31241 / 1986, No. 229247 / 1990, and No. 234456 / 2001, etc. may be used for the three-dimensional braided fabric 42 . Thus, any of the hexagonal grids shown in Figure 8, the diamond grids shown in Figure 9, or other well-known structures, are suitable for use as either the first or second fabric.

[0039] Moreover, various structures can also be used as connecting fibers. For example, the structure shown in FIG. 10, where the first and second fabrics are connected by approximately parallel connecting fibers 48, may also be used. Alternatively, a structure as shown in Fig. 11 may be used in which connecting fibers 48 intersect.

Abstract

A press felt (10) for papermaking comprises at least one a base body (20), a fibrous assembly (30), and at least one three-dimensional knitted fabric (40) within the interior of the felt (10). The base body (20) and the knitted fabric (40) may be in contact, or, for improved adhesion between the base body (20) and the knitted fabric (40), the fibrous assembly may be disposed between the base body (20) and the knitted fabric (40). Excellent compression recoverability and sustainability may be obtained.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a papermaking press felt (hereinafter, referred to as "felt") used in a papermaking machine. Background technique [0002] As is generally known, felts are used in the press section of a paper machine to absorb water from a wet paper web. [0003] In the press section PP of the paper machine shown in Figure 17, a single felt 10A is used to remove water from a wet paper web WW which travels between a pair of press rollers PR. In the apparatus shown in Fig. 18, water is removed from the wet paper web WW sandwiched between two felts 10A in the press section PP. In the apparatus shown in FIG. 19, in which the press section PP includes a press roll PR and a shoe-shaped press PS with a resin belt SB in between, water is removed from a wet web WW sandwiched between two felts 10A. . [0004] In each case shown in Figures 17-19, the felt 10A is driven by rotating press rolls or rolls PR and is compressed in the press section ...
