Abstract

The invention discloses a management method for a client terminal STA within a BSS network, which includes the following steps: an Access Point (AP) adds the threshold value of message length, which is sending a request for an RTS negotiation, into a frame which is sent to the STA; and then the AP sends the frame containing the threshold value of message length to the STA so as to control the messages sent by the STA. The invention also discloses a management device for the client STA within the BSS network. By using the invention, the threshold value of message length of RTS/CTS mechanism is determined by the AP, and the STA is notified of the threshold value, thereby realizing management of the messages sent by the STA, replacing the existing decentralized control for the RTS threshold value by the STA and solving the conflict resulting from messages sent by different STAs in case of relatively wide scope of the BSS.
