Embodiment Construction
[0014] A variable width telescoping chassis (1) shown in Figure 1 supports a working tool (2). A telescoping undercarriage (1) for an agricultural implement (3) such as a seed drill comprises a central beam (4) and at least one sliding extension (5, 6) on each side. Preferably, the central beam (4) is hollow. The telescopic chassis (1) can be converted from the smallest size to the largest size and vice versa by sliding the extensions (5, 6) inside the center beam (4). To reduce the size of the chassis (1), the sliding extensions (5, 6) are telescopically retracted into the center beam (4), and in turn, to increase the size, the sliding extensions (5, 6) are retracted inside the center beam (4 ) sticks out. The telescoping chassis (1) is hollow and preferably has a polygonal cross-section preventing the rotation of the sliding extensions (5, 6) relative to the central beam (4). The shape of the section is square, rectangular, or the known H-shape.
