Embodiment

[0055] The product design object of this embodiment is the longitudinal beam of the automobile chassis. The longitudinal beam is an important load-bearing structure of the automobile chassis, located on the left and right sides of the chassis. The design of the longitudinal beam needs to design the cross-sectional size and spatial direction of the longitudinal beam according to the design load of the entire vehicle, and design the installation holes of the longitudinal beam according to the structural layout requirements of the vehicle. In the design process, it is necessary to consider whether the strength of the longitudinal beam meets the load requirements, and whether the entire cost of the longitudinal beam exceeds the standard. Therefore, the design of longitudinal beams can be regarded as composed of three professional disciplines: geometric modeling, strength checking and cost estimation.

Abstract

A method for describing a product information model comprises the following steps: (1) classifying the product information to be described into various discipline models according to professional disciplines; (2) defining characteristic parameters of each discipline model as an attribute domain of the discipline model; (3) constructing an uniform access interface of the attribute domain, and normatively packaging a computation procedure related to the discipline model as an algorithmic domain of the discipline model; (4) obtaining input data from the attribute domain by a computation procedure in the algorithmic domain via the uniform access interface for computation, and assigning the computation result to the corresponding parameters in the attribute domain; (5) recording an index of a discipline model related to the discipline model as a relation domain of the discipline model, and when the characteristic parameters in the attribute domain of the discipline model change, transferring the changed characteristic parameters to the attribute domain of the related discipline model according to the index, and starting from he step of (4) for the related discipline model to realize the automatic updating of relevance among the models.
