Abstract

The invention discloses a method for processing different user attach types by a core network of an evolved packet system. The method comprises the following steps: a mobile management unit receives an attachment request message which contains attach type parameters and is transmitted from user equipment, and then transmits the parameters to a service gateway; and the service gateway transmits the request message containing the attach type parameters to a packet data network gateway; and the packet data network gateway newly assigns an IP address to the user equipment or returns the IP address which is originally used by the user equipment to the user equipment for continuous use according to the attach types which are indicated by the attach type parameters. In the method, a user attaches one attach type parameter to an MME when initiating an attach request, the MME attaches the parameter to an S-GW, and the S-GW attaches the parameter to a P-GW, therefore, different attach types canbe distinctively processed correspondingly.
