Embodiment Construction

[0034] Referring to the drawings, a leg adjustment device comprising a connecting element 12, a base element 14 and an engaging element 16 is shown. The connecting element 12 comprises means for securing the connecting element 12 to a leg of a piece of furniture, such as a table leg. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1-9 , the device comprises a threaded shaft 18 at the first end 20 of the connecting element 12 . The threaded shafts 18 are configured to be received in corresponding threaded holes in the bottoms of the legs. The connecting element 12 includes a portion near its second end 22 which is slidably received within the bottom element 14 .

In many places (such as restaurants and cafes), the floor on which the table sits is not perfectly flat, causing the legs of the table to come off the floor and thus making the table unstable.
