Problems solved by technology

[0014] As described above, the lens unit 100 produces Figure 7 Axial chromatic aberration shown, therefore, simultaneously focusing on red light LR, green light L G ( Figure 7 (not shown in the figure), blue light LB as a whole is impossible, and therefore, as described above, false color and bleeding occur especially at the edge portion including high-frequency components, which causes deterioration of the image quality of the captured image.

Embodiment Construction

[0055] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below using the drawings.

[0056] figure 1 1 is a configuration diagram of Embodiment 1 of the imaging device of the present invention, 1 is a lens group (lens unit), 2 is a color imaging unit, 3 is a color signal generating unit, 4 is a memory, and 5 is a color-specific high-frequency component changing unit.

[0057] In this figure, light is irradiated to a color imaging unit 2 via a lens group 1 , and a subject image is formed on an imaging surface (not shown) of the color imaging unit 2 through the lens group 1 . The color imaging element 2 splits the subject image according to the wavelength of light, performs photoelectric conversion, and outputs a signal corresponding to the subject image. The color signal generation unit 3 generates at least two or more kinds of color signals based on the signals from the imaging element 2 , and here, for example, generates three primary color R, G, and B signals. ...

Abstract

The present invention provides an imaging apparatus capable of suppressing an occurrence of false color and chromatic blur at an edge portion of an image, which are caused by axial chromatic aberration of a lens unit, and also, capable of preventing a deterioration of color reproducibility. In the imaging apparatus, an image signal derived from an imaging element is supplied to color signal producing means so as to be separated into a R(red) color signal, a G(green) color signal and a B(blue) color signal. These R, G, B signals are supplied to color-depending frequency component changing means. While predetermined information has been stored in a memory with respect to each of the R signal, the G signal and the B signal, and the predetermined information is used in order to change a signal level of a high frequency component every R, G, B signals, the color-depending frequency component changing means extracts a high frequency component from each of the R signal, the G signal and the B signal, and then, corrects frequency components of these extracted high frequency components in such a manner that an occurrence of false color and chromatic blur at an edge portion of an image, which are caused by axial chromatic aberration of a lens system can be suppressed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to imaging devices such as digital still cameras and video cameras, and more particularly to imaging devices having a function of preventing image quality degradation. Background technique [0002] Digital still cameras, video cameras and other imaging devices are being miniaturized for the sake of portability and ease of use. The high resolution of images is constantly advancing. However, in order to obtain a high-resolution captured image, it is very important not only to increase the number of pixels of the imaging element but also to increase the accuracy of the optical performance of the lens unit used in the imaging device. [0003] However, it is necessary to downsize the lens unit while downsizing the casing of the imaging device, and it is very difficult to achieve both high precision and downsizing of the optical performance of the lens unit. For this reason, degradation of the optical performance of the lens u...
