Abstract

A load turn-off circuit and method for thyristor are disclosed. The circuit is connected to a thyristor output power supply, and it includes a voltage detecting circuit detecting a voltage of the thyristor output power supply and obtaining the detecting voltage. A comparing control circuit compares the detecting voltage with a preset voltage and generates a driving voltage according to the compared result. A switch circuit is connected with the comparing control circuit and is on or off state according to the driving voltage of the comparing control circuit. A power consumption circuit is respectively connected with the thyristor output power supply and a load for making or breaking connection between the thyristor output power supply and the load according to the on / off state of the switch circuit.
