Abstract

The invention provides implementation of a 3G communication network, relating to an implementation method for improving the reliability of a 3G core network by using remote backups of home location registers (HLRs) under an internet protocol (IP) signaling networking environment. The implementation method comprises the following steps of: adding remote backup equipment capably of providing the function of the first HLR in the 3G core network; allocating an IP addresses different form the IP address of the first HLR by the second HLR; on an IP signaling network of the network, adding a link for transmitting backup information between the two HLRs; selecting a set of protocol for transmitting the backup information between the two HLRs; judging whether the first HLR has faults or not; or else, sending the information to the first HLR by a communication node and processing the information by the first HLR.
