Abstract

A respirator (10) having a harness along with a method of making and fitting the same are disclosed. The respirator (10) includes a mask body (16); and a harness (30) attached to the mask body (16). The harness (30) comprises: a first fastening strap securement mechanism (34a) that is disposed on a first side of the mask body (16); a second fastening strap securement mechanism (34b) that is disposed on a second side of the mask body (16) opposing the first side; and a fastening strap (32) attached to one of the first and second fastening strap securement mechanisms (34a, 34b).

More particularly, the present invention relates to respirators including harnesses that facilitate adapting and securing the respirator to the wearer, and methods of making, and fitting the same.
