Abstract

The invention discloses a method and equipment for switching a communication service between systems. The method comprises the following steps of: judging whether user equipment which establishes the communication service is in a cell forward access channel state or not; if the user equipment is in the cell forward access channel state, judging whether the communication service needs born in a global system for mobile communications (GSM) or not when a core network initiates the wireless access bearer establishment of the communication service; and if the communication service needs born in the GSM, triggering the switching, between a communication system which establishes the communication service and the GSM, of the communication service, and establishing the communication service in the GSM. Due to the adoption of the method, the defect that, in the prior art, a switching process between the systems cannot be performed when the user equipment is in the cell forward access channel state can be overcome; switching time delay can be reduced; and the technical effect of avoiding dropped calls of the user equipment can be achieved. In addition, as the user equipment can be switched into the GSM directly while the service is established, strategies of the network can be more flexible.
