Problems solved by technology

[0003] At present, emulsified asphalt at home and abroad is usually stored in storage tanks or plastic barrels. Whether it is stored on site or transported by tank trucks, water volatilization cannot be avoided during storage and transportation, which will destroy the component balance of the emulsified asphalt itself, causing some asphalt to break in advance and cause Bonding together on the surface of the storage container to form a skin that can adversely affect the performance of the product
[0004] At present, there is no effective solution to the problem of crusting of emulsified asphalt in the storage process in terms of product storage technology at home and abroad

Embodiment 1

[0019] The current anionic emulsified asphalt products for high-speed rail are processed, and the solid content is controlled at 63%. The emulsifier is ER-A3 from Medviswick Company. The products are stored in conventional storage tanks at a storage temperature of 60°C. After the product was left for 3 days, a crust appeared. Use the emulsified asphalt storage device of the present invention to store, add moisture adding facilities (using industrial steam) on the upper part of the storage tank, maintain the humidity in the storage tank within the range of 60%-70%, and no skinning occurs after the product is stored for 8 days.

Embodiment 2

[0021] Process current cationic emulsified asphalt products for viscous oil, control the solid content to 50%, and use MQK-1D from Medviswick Company as the emulsifier. The products are stored in conventional storage tanks at a storage temperature of 40°C. After the product was left for 5 days, a slight crust appeared. Use the emulsified asphalt storage device of the present invention to store, add moisture adding facilities (ultrasonic humidifiers) on the upper part of the storage tank, maintain the humidity of the storage tank within the range of 70%-80%, and no skinning occurs after the product is stored for 12 days.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for preventing emulsified asphalt from crusting in the process of storage. The method has the following steps: introducing moist steam into the storage container of the emulsified asphalt to enable the relative humidity of air at the upper part of the surface of the emulsified asphalt in the storage container to be kept in the needed relative humidity scope for preventing the emulsified asphalt from crusting in the whole storage process so as to maintain moisture content in the emulsified asphalt in the storage container, wherein the scope can be obtained by the empirical approach or by calculating saturated vapor pressure at the surface of the emulsified asphalt. The wet steam can be provided by the steam generated by a boiler or by water vapour generatedby an ultrasonic humidifier. Compared with the prior art, the invention can obviously improve storage stability of the emulsified asphalt in a canned container, prevent crusting from happening, prolong storage cycle of a product and prolong the storage cycle by at least more than 5 days compared with the conventional storage method.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for preventing skinning during storage of emulsified asphalt. Background technique [0002] Emulsified asphalt is an oil-in-water emulsion formed by processing under the action of an emulsifier. At present, emulsified asphalt products have been widely used at home and abroad as important raw materials for road construction, high-speed railway, building waterproofing and other industries. Emulsified asphalt can be divided into anionic, cationic and nonionic according to different types of emulsifiers, and each product has strict standards for storage stability. However, due to the different storage methods of emulsified asphalt, some products are prone to crusting during storage. In most cases, this kind of skinning problem is caused by the volatilization of water in the emulsified asphalt product or insufficient emulsifier addition. [0003] At present, emulsified asphalt at home and abroad is usually stored in stor...
