Abstract

A method and a device used for removing background colors from an image is provided, which removes background colors via processing an image in a colorimetric space. After determination (22) of a colorimetric value of background colors of the image, calculate (23) a color adaptation transform used for transforming the background color colorimetric value into a target color spot, the target color spot is usually a white spot.
