[0058] In various embodiments described below, shaped glass articles are produced by preferentially heating the glass sheet near the mold, as described above, and then sagging the glass sheet into the mold (as described above figure 1 , 6 and 8). In these examples, the glass sheet adopts Corning (CORNING) 2317 glass. The materials used for the molds are different and will be detailed below. For each example, vacuum sagging was used to form the glass sheet into a shaped glass article.
