The electronic device comprises a power supply switch, a GPIO (General Purpose Input / Output) interface, a control unit, a logic processing unit and a processing module. A power supply control method comprises the following steps of: receiving a trigger signal generated after a power supply switch is pressed down by utilizing a pin of the GPIO interface, transmitting the trigger signal to the control unit, starting the electronic device by using the control unit, and executing power-on self-test of the logic processing unit by the processing unit; judging whether the GPIO interface is set to be in a power supply locking state or not according to the logic processing unit; if the GPIO interface is set to be in the power supply locking state, setting the electric potential of the pin to be a power-forbidden electric potential; and loading an operating system to finish a boot-strap program by utilizing the processing module.
