The method comprises the following steps of: receiving position information from the managed nodes, adding the position information into a management system, and storing the position information; analyzing the position information to generate a whole cluster picture including images of the managed nodes; and displaying the whole cluster picture, wherein indicated positions of the managed nodes on the whole cluster picture are the same as actual physical positions of the managed nodes in the cluster. By application of the embodiment of the invention, the actual physical positions of the respective managed nodes can be intuitively displayed, so a manager makes up-down and left-right relations among the managed nodes quite clear. If some node is abnormal, the manager can quickly know the position of the node in the cluster, so time for searching the position of the node in the cluster is shortened, and the processing time of a fault is further shortened.
