Abstract

A method for adjusting image resolution is applied to an image capture device. The image capture device includes a camera module and a storage unit. The method for adjusting image resolution includes: using the camera module to capture images with a first resolution of an image; analyzing a degree of blurring of the captured image; comparing the degree of blurring with a threshold value; when the degree of blurring exceeds the threshold value, reducing the resolution of the image from the first resolution is a second resolution, and storing the image in the storage unit at the second resolution; and storing the image in the storage unit at the first resolution when the degree of blur does not exceed the threshold value middle.
