Abstract

The invention provides a method for sending and receiving an HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) attachment as well as a server and terminal equipment. The method comprises the following steps: the server receives a request message from the terminal equipment; the server generates a message header including segmental boundary tag information, generates at least one message segment according to at least one attachment, makes at least one message segment into a message body in an MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) format, and makes the message header and the message body into a segmental HTTP response message, wherein, each message segment adopts the MIME format and comprises a segmental boundary tag and an attachment message segment, and the attachment message segment carries one attachment; and the server sends the segmental HTTP response message to the terminal equipment. By adopting the method, the server and the terminal equipment, the computing resource can be saved and the HTTP attachment transmission efficiency can be improved.
