The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a release layer of a release liner, and to a release layer composition, which comprises a curable release agent and an inductive filler material. The invention relates also to a pressure sensitive label laminates.
Description
field of invention [0001] This invention relates to label laminates. More particularly, the present invention relates to release liners for label laminates and to methods of making the same. Background of the invention [0002] Pressure sensitive label laminates, also known as self-adhesive label laminates, are well known in the art. A typical construction of these laminates consists of a release liner and face stock material laminated together with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) layer in between. A release liner may, for example, have a polymer film or paper as a backing material, which is coated with a release agent such as silicone. Conventional silicone release coating systems consist of reactive silicone compounds, crosslinkers, catalysts and optionally inhibitors. After coating the backing material, the silicone layer is further dried and cured at high temperature at an activating tunnel to obtain a cross-linked silicone release layer. Subsequently, the releas...
