Abstract

The invention discloses a video-streaming-based hand positioning method. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) acquiring a section of image sequence by using a camera, and acquiring position and size information of a human face in an acquired image; (2) according to the position and size information of the human face, determining a hand-waving detection area, and calculating the size of a hand; (3) calculating whether the hand waving is produced in the hand-waving detection area, and acquiring the central position point of a changed pixel area if the hand waving is detected; and (4) determining a hand search area by taking the central position point of the changed pixel area as a reference point according to the size of the hand which is calculated in step (2), and positioning the accurate position of the hand. By the video-streaming-based hand positioning method, a method for positioning hands can be simplified; and the video-streaming-based hand positioning method is relatively humanized.
