An automobile comprises an engine oil pressure sensor, an engine electric control unit (ECU) and a fault indicating device. The method comprises the following steps of: detecting the current engine oil pressure by using the engine oil pressure sensor at intervals of a predetermined time, judging whether the current engine oil pressure is in a calibration range by the ECU, and synchronously judging whether an insulate value of an engine oil pressure difference between the current engine oil pressure value and the engine oil pressure value of the last detection is in the libration range by the ECU; when the current engine oil pressure is not in the calibration range and/or the engine oil pressure difference between the current engine oil pressure value and the pressure value of the last detection is not in the libration range, performing fault treatment by the ECU and activating the fault indicating device. With the adoption of the automobile engine oil pressure monitoring method, the abnormal change of the engine oil pressure occurred in a libration zone can be monitored, so that a latent problem of the automobile is can be warned early.
