Abstract

The present invention discloses a battery charging kit for a motor vehicle, comprising: a charging cable; a mounting bracket engaged to a structure inside the vehicle; and a carrying case for containing the cable. The carrying bag has first and second flexible / foldable side walls and a reinforcement member extending along opposing upper surfaces of the side walls to define an upper opening. A carrying handle is coupled to the reinforcing member. The reinforcement member includes engagement features removably coupleable to the mounting bracket to hold the carrying bag such that the side walls depend downwardly and open to an upper opening large enough to accommodate a battery charging cable. Multiple mounting brackets may be provided at various locations in the passenger compartment and / or cargo compartment and / or in the rear trunk from which the vehicle operator may choose.
