The surface of the novel artificial marble has a titanium dioxide coating film or a coating containing titanium dioxide or the mixed coating comprising titanium dioxide, so that the artificial marble has a self-cleaning function, and can greatly reduce cost for maintaining clean when the artificial marble is used as a building material. Due to the excellent ultraviolet absorption function of titanium dioxide, decomposition of the component materials of the artificial marble can be effectively prevented; mechanical performance of the artificial marble can be maintained; and fractures / cracks can be prevented from appearance.
