Abstract

Disclosed are a method for transmitting uplink precoding information, a precoding method, a base station, and a terminal. The method for transmitting the uplink precoding information comprises: selecting one precoding matrix set from multiple codebooks corresponding to different orders, where each codebook comprises at least one precoding matrix set, and where at least one codebook among the multiple codebooks comprises at least two precoding matrix sets; and notifying the terminal of the selected precoding matrix set. In embodiments of the present invention, because precoding matrixes in different types of codebooks are divided in advance into precoding matrix sets, the information of the selected precoding matrix set comprising multiple precoding matrixes is thus allowed to be transmitted to the terminal, thereby allowing for the terminal to perform an uplink precoding on the basis of the multiple precoding matrixes, and for improved performance of the uplink precoding.
