Abstract

Methods and systems enable a communication device equipped with a software-defined radio-based chipset module to seamlessly reprogram the communication device to operate on any of a variety of service provider networks. By reprogramming a communications device equipped with a software-defined radio-based chipset module, the communications device can support communications over both UMTS and CDMA communications networks. An environment is provided that allows users to quickly and efficiently switch between communication-enabled service provider accounts.
