According to the IP address administration method and the system, on one hand, the process for opening an account and the process for surfing the internet of users are modified synchronously, the delicacy management requirement of dual stack broadband access (BBA) business at the present stage is met, and on the other hand, the embodiment of the IP address administration method and the system is expanded based on an original Radius protocol frame, and forward direction compatibility is achieved.
