Problems solved by technology

[0004] However, there is a problem that when the land ratio on the outer side of the vehicle is too large, the volume of the ditch decreases and the drainage performance decreases
Therefore, there is room for further improvement for methods that rely only on land ratios

Abstract

The invention provides a pneumatic tire in which the steering stability and uneven wear resistance can be improved while maintaining the drainage performance. The pneumatic tire has a specified installing direction to a vehicle (1). An outboard shoulder main groove (4A) comprises a groove width (W1c) smaller than those of a pair of central longitudinal grooves (3A, 3B) and an inward shoulder longitudinal groove (4B); an outboard middle portion (7A) has a width (W3b) larger than that of an inboard middle portion (7B); inner ends (5Ai) of outboard shoulder cross grooves (5A) and outer ends (5Bo) of outboard central cross grooves (5B) are staggered along the periphery of the tire. Outboard middle thin grooves (13) are arranged on the outboard middle portion (7A) and connect the inner ends (5Ai) of the outboard shoulder cross grooves (5A) and the outer ends (5Bo) of the outboard central cross grooves (5B). The groove width W4 is less than those of the outboard shoulder cross grooves (5A) and the outboard central cross grooves (5B).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire capable of maintaining drainage performance and improving steering stability and uneven wear resistance. Background technique [0002] Conventionally, in order to improve the steering stability and uneven wear resistance of a pneumatic tire, the rigidity of the land portion is generally increased by increasing the land ratio of the tread portion. Especially for tires whose mounting direction to the vehicle is specified, it is very effective to increase the land ratio on the outer side of the vehicle where the ground contact pressure increases when cornering. Among them, related technologies are as follows. [0003] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2008-6987 [0004] However, there is a problem that if the land ratio on the outer side of the vehicle is too large, the volume of the groove decreases and the drainage performance decreases. Therefore, there is room for further improvement ...
