The dose setting mechanism further comprises a drug delivery device housing (120) and a dose scale member (122; 202) disposed in the housing and rotatable during a dose setting step. A drive sleeve (124; 206) is placed within the dose scale member, a spindle (126) is placed within the drive sleeve, and a clutch (128; 212) is placed between the dose scale member and the drive between the sleeves.
