[0015] In general, the present disclosure is directed to techniques that can use information from different modality groups to determine whether two or more individuals are in physical proximity to each other and, in some cases, whether individuals are likely to be associated with the same event. For example, example modalities may include geolocation, audio fingerprinting, proximity detection, and calendar data. Each modality can provide some information about the proximity of one individual to another. In some examples, a modality may further indicate events that may be associated with an individual.
