Abstract

A laying vessel for laying pipelines on the bottom of a body of water, the laying vessel having: a floating structure; a laying tower hinged to the floating structure and designed to assemble and lay pipelines on the bottom of the body of water; and an A&R system for jettisoning and retrieving the pipeline; and wherein the A&R system has a drag line; and a pulley assembly for guiding the drag line, and the pulley assembly is mounted to the floating structure to move between a working position at the laying tower and a position away from the laying tower .
