The method comprises the steps of distributing IP addresses and wireless communication network configuring data through matching of an IP bearing network, a base station and a configuration management network body, namely, sending IP address request messages and identification when the base station is connected to the IP bearing network, the IP bearing network sending IP addresses for the identification according to the IP address request messages and sending the corresponding relationship of the identification and the IP addresses to the configuration management network body, and the configuration management network body using the IP addresses to send wireless communication network configuration data to the base station with the identification. Consequently, through the process, the base station can obtain the IP addresses and the wireless communication network configuration data, so that automatic configuration of the IP bearing network and the wireless communication network to the base station is completed, therefore, when a bearing network of the wireless communication network is the IP bearing network, the method and device can also realize plug and play of the base station.
