Abstract

An electrical connector is disclosed having a housing having at least one row of terminal receiving channels (14). Each channel includes a latch (58). An overstress protection rib (64) is located below each latch (58). A channel extends across the front wall of the housing adjacent to at least one row of terminal receiving channels (14), and on the opposite side of the latch. The terminal position assurance member (TPA) (6) has a pre-locked position in which the TPA is in front of the latch (58), allowing the latch to spring back into the channel, and a fully locked position in which , TPA is located under the latch.
