In one embodiment, the movable closure member may comprise a slide member or binding slide 14 slidably connected to the bracket body 12 . The bracket body 12 includes an archwire slot 16 configured to accommodate an archwire 18 (dotted line in the figure) for applying an orthodontic force to the teeth. Binding slider 14 can be in closed position (see figure 1 ) and open position (see figure 2 ) to move between. In the closed position, the archwire 18 is retained within the archwire slot 16 and in the open position, the archwire 18 is insertable into the archwire slot 16 . The bracket body 12 and the binding slider 14 jointly constitute an orthodontic bracket 10 for orthodontics.
