Embodiment Construction

[0029] figure 1 It is a circuit block diagram of a display with multiple video ports according to an embodiment of the present invention. See figure 1 The display 1 includes an MCU 11, a flash memory 12, a plurality of video ports 13a-13c, and a plurality of EEPROMs 14a-14c corresponding to the video ports 13a-13c. The MCU11 is used to control the operation of the display 1, including controlling the programming process during EDID programming. The flash memory 12 is used to store the program code of the display 1, such as hardware driver code and tool software program code, so that the MCU 11 can load and execute to control the operation of the display 1, and stores the first EDID corresponding to each video port 13a-13c. The serial number and checksum in the first EDID are invalid. The video ports 13a-13c are respectively used to receive video signals. The EEPROM 14a-14c are respectively used to store the third EDID corresponding to the video ports 13a-13c, and the serial n...

Abstract

Disclosed is an EDID burning method of a display with multiple video ports. Before assembly welding of an SMD, when a display program code is burned to a display flash memory, first EDID which is corresponding to each video port and is provided with an invalid sequence number and a check sum is burned in the flash memory. When a display MCU on a production line receives a writing EDID command or a display sequence number, the MCU reads each first EDID stored in the flash memory, the invalid sequence number in the first EDID is replaced by the received sequence number to generate second EDID, then the check sum of each second EDID is calculated, afterwards, the calculated check sum and replaces the invalid check sum in the second EDID so as to generate a third EDID, and each third EDID is burned in the flash memory or an EEPROM corresponding to each video port. Therefore, the consumed EDID is quite short in transmission and modification time, the EDID burning time can be shortened, the production capacity is improved, and the cost is reduced.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of EDID burning of displays, and in particular to an EDID burning method of displays with multiple video ports. Background technique [0002] EDID (ExtendedDisplayIdentificationData, extended display identification data) is a kind of data provided by the display to describe its ability to support video sources. EDID contains information such as manufacturer identification code, product identification code, serial number, manufacturing time, maximum display size, gamma value, color settings, frequency limits and supported resolutions. After the computer or other external device is connected to the display, it can learn its ability to support the video source by reading the EDID stored in the display, so as to output a suitable video signal to the display to display the video normally. If the display has multiple video ports, each video port needs to burn the corresponding EDID in the display. For example, if the m...
