Abstract

The method comprises that when an OLT (optical line terminal) of an EPON (Ethernet passive optical network) receives up protocol messages reported by a user device, and the managing CPU (central processing unit) of the OLT creates or updates the corresponding user record according to user information in the up protocol messages to manage a target MAC (media access control) address and down forwarding information which are matched with the user information; when the OLT receives down protocol messages issued by a server, the managing CPU searches for the user record which is identical to the recorded user MAC address and the target MAC address in the down protocol messages, and forwards the down protocol messages to a user device designated by the user record; when the target MAC address in the down protocol messages is a broadcast address, the managing CPU replaces the broadcast address with the user MAC address in the user record to achieve unique unicast forwarding of the designated user device.
