A method for obtaining an image and an electronic device for processing the method are provided. The method includes storing image data of different orientations obtained via a plurality of cameras. In a method for storing image data in an electronic device, first image data and second image data are obtained. While storing the first image data, the state of the object of the second image data is determined.
