The invention discloses traditional Chinese medicine powder for treating otitis media. The otitis media can be caused by a plurality of diseases or trauma, and is diversified in pathogenesis, for example, certain boundedness existing in treatment by simply using antibiotics or steroid, and risks of resistance to drugs and side effects existing in use of the antibiotics. The traditional Chinese medicine powder is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 1-3 parts of mantis egg-case and 1-3 parts of snake slough. The raw materials are prepared into powder after being baked to treat the otitis media. The traditional Chinese medicine powder has the effects of astringing, clearing out the pus, detoxifying and relieving pain, also can be effectively used for treating the otitis media caused by wind attacking the ears, blockage of external acoustic meatus, hepatobiliary accumulated heat, pathogenic toxin retention and qi and blood stasis, and is used for spraying on auditory meatus. 110 cases of patients with otitis media are treated, a good clinical treatment effect is obtained, and the effective rate can be up to 92.72%. The phenomena of skin abnormity of auricle or auditory meatus, and hearing damage are not found out during the period of medicine, no untoward effect of the whole body appears, and the traditional Chinese medicine powder is safe to medicate.
