By means of a composite vertical-flow technology, sewage firstly passes through the downstream-flow filtering tank for enabling a part of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, total nitrogen and COD to be removed through a nitrification process and a denitrification process; and then passes through the upstream-flow filtering tank for enabling a part of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, total nitrogen and COD to be removed through the nitrification process and the denitrification process. Liquid levels in the two filtering tanks are ensured in an overflow discharging method. A horizontal height of an overflow hole in the upstream-flow filtering tank is lower than that of a water inlet hole of the downstream-flow filtering tank. A natural ventilation process is employed in upper parts of both the downstream-flow filtering tank and the upstream-flow filtering tank and an anaerobic water treatment technology is employed in lower parts of both the downstream-flow filtering tank and the upstream-flow filtering tank so that the anaerobic method and the natural ventilation is actually integrated. The invention relates to a non-point source sewage treatment technology and can be used in urban sewage treatment and industrial wastewater treatment in which water body properties are similar to urban sewage.
