The invention relates to a bactericidal composition containing fenamidone and prochloraz and application, belonging to the technical field of pesticides. An effective component is a compound in which the weight ratio of fenamidone to prochloraz is (1:40)-(40:1); the total mass of fenamidone and prochloraz which serve as the effective components in the preparation accounts for 1-80 percent of the mass of the whole preparation. The composition can be prepared into agriculturally allowable suspension, a water dispersible granule, wettable powder, emulsifiable concentrate, emulsion in water, a micro emulsion and the like. The components are reasonable, the sterilization effect is good, and the medicine use cost is low; the activity and the sterilization effect of the bactericidal composition are not simply stacked by the activities of all the components; compared with the conventional single drug, the bactericidal composition has an outstanding sterilization effect and an outstanding synergism effect; generation of resistance can be relieved, and the quantity of preparation residues is small; pollution to crops is avoided, the safety is high, and a requirement on the safety of a pesticide preparation is met.
