The method includes: acquiring a request message sent by a client, wherein the request message sent by the client carries communication mode information of communication of the client with the server; according to correspondence of preset communication mode information and network ports in the server, acquiring port information corresponding to the network ports of the communication mode information in the request message; sending the acquired port information to the client to enable the client to establish network connection with the network ports corresponding to the port information. By application of the method and device, even though the network ports in the server are changed, the port information corresponding to the network ports of the request message can be determined according to the request message sent by the client, and then the port information is sent to the client so as to establish network connection between the client and the network ports.
