Abstract

A compressor is provided that may include a drive shaft and an orbiting scroll driven by the drive shaft. The movable scroll may include an end plate, a spiral wrap extending from the end plate, and a chamber formed by the movable scroll and disposed on an opposite side of the end plate from the spiral wrap. A counterweight may be fixed for rotation with the drive shaft and may be received within a chamber of the orbiting scroll.
