Provides a method for switching digitizer modes. A method and user device for controlling a mode of a digitizer are provided. The method and user device include: detecting an input unit by scanning the digitizer; measuring at least one parameter corresponding to the input unit; controlling switching of the digitizer into a mode according to the measurement result of the at least one parameter.
