Abstract

The present invention relates to methods and nodes for supporting session transfer of user equipment from a circuit-switched network to a packet-switched network. According to one aspect, a method for operating a control node of a core network is provided. The method includes the following steps: requesting information from a radio access network of a circuit-switched network on whether capabilities of user equipment related to session transfer are compatible with network configuration related to session transfer; receiving capabilities of user equipment and an indication of whether the network configuration is compatible; determining whether session transfer is indicated to be supported by using the received compatibility indication; and setting an indication of whether session transfer is supported based on the determination.
